My son Andrew looked at this piece and said it looked like a brain. His reaction stayed with me and I wanted to keep that connection so the burning trees and the humanity combined to speak of the cost of Parkinson's. We can't always see the effect it has on people but sometimes it feels overwhelming, like a forest fire that is out of control.
