Take the "A" Train to Harlem

Starting with a loosely painted, textural background I responded to shapes and patterns that I saw there. The train shapes, top and bottom were there as strong shapes and then I started to develop other ideas and associations as I progresses. The result is an image that has a strong surrealistic quality to it.
